“Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race.”

— Revelation 21:3

This Sunday from the Book of Revelation we read, “Behold, I make all things new!” Change and movement are part of life and part of faith. We are continually coming to faith, growing in faith and being renewed in Christ. Conversion is a constant in our lives. It does not take place over night and requires much patience. Christ commandment to love may not present problems as far as friends are concerned. Most of us are good at overlooking their faults, making allowances for their shortcomings and forgiving their failures. It is easy to love those who are kind and loving towards us but Christ’s love calls us to do more than this. We are not to exclude anybody even those who harm us. We fail miserably when we retaliate and our good intentions are shattered as we gossip maliciously about other people. The making of ourselves into real Christians is the work of a lifetime. That cannot be achieved solely through our own efforts. There is always the danger we may be in love with our own accomplishments and ourselves. It is allowing the risen Lord to work in us, to make all things new in us. In many ways we define our selves by love; the more we love the closer we are to Christ. Before each of us is the command to love one another. This is not just an individual requirement, or a suggestion, but a command of Jesus. Long ago our brother Jesus gave his whole heart to us, that’s all he wants from us. To love as Jesus did is a sign of our discipleship.
St. Dunstan Choir is welcoming new members!

Please come and lend your talents so that we may strengthen our choir and continue our choral tradition at the 10 AM Mass on Sunday. The choir rehearses in the church every Wednesday morning at 10 am. Call Choir Director, Cindy Bruni at 697-1907.

Christian One-Liners….

God loves everyone, but probably prefers “fruits of the spirit” over “religious nuts!”.
