I got am email recently. It was about a
teacher who asked a group of students to
name what they considered to be the
present Seven Wonders of the
World. Although there was some
disagreement the following received the
most votes:
- 1. Egypts
Great Pyramids
- 2. Taj
Mahal
- 3. Grand
Canyon
- 4. Panama
Canal
- 5. Empire
stare Building
- 6. St.
Peters Basilica
- 7. Chinas
Great Wall
While
gathering the votes the teacher noted that
one student had not finished her paper. He
asked her if she had trouble with her
list. She said, A little, I
couldnt make up my mind because
there are so many The teacher said
Tell us what you have and we may
help you. The girl hesitated, then
read, I think the Seven Wonders of
the World are:
- 1. To
See
- 2. To
Hear
- 3. To
touch
- 4. To
Taste
- 5. To
Feel
- 6. To
Laugh
- 7. To
Love
The
room was so quite you could hear a pin
drop. The things we overlook as simple and
ordinary and that we take for granted are
truly wondrous!
In the
Gospel story, Peter gets the point. He was
awed by the sudden massive catch of fish
where before there seemed to be nothing.
But he realizes this isnt about fish
at all. Its about how vast, how
awesome, and how close God
is.
Listen
attentively and you will hear him. Look
closely at what he has made and you will
see his reflection. Walk with him and his
light and life, joy and peace will be
yours this day. You will see the wonders
of his presence.
