The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace.

Festival
Next weekend we celebrate St. Dunstan’s Fall Festival. It is a wonderful Parish occasion. The festival committee has been working tirelessly since the beginning of the year to make it a success. They have put in an incredible amount of work in preparing for this event. They have shown leadership and commitment in their efforts to make this year’s festival, the best ever. I wish to thank them all for their hard work, attentiveness and energy in making our festival possible. It all comes together next weekend September 29, 30 and October 1st. I appeal to all parishioners to come and support our festival. Without your presence and participation all the committee’s work will be in vain.

There is something for everybody to enjoy. We have added an extra ‘kiddy ride’ for the younger children along side the bouncing castle. The ‘zipper’ has returned for those of an older age group. This ride demands courage and a strong stomach (I’ll give that ride a miss). The Ferris Wheel, always a big attraction, is also back. We have an original game, “Lights Out”. It is a ‘pitch and throw’ baseball game that measures your speed and accuracy. It is debuting at our festival before being officially unveiled at “A.T & T” Stadium. Exciting! There is ‘spin the wheel’ and bingo, food, entertainment and music. The festival is a family occasion and a fun time for everybody. Now is the time to buy ‘ride tickets’ before the festival starts. They are now being sold at half price; once the festival begins you have to pay the face value of $30.00 for a book of tickets. We start on Friday evening and our first major attraction is a dance for our youth. We end with a family dinner on Sunday, culminating with a live auction and raffle. Come Support Your Parish!

Stewardship Corner

Stewardship is an act of faith, trust, worship and belonging. God has blessed each of us with certain abilities and talents, and the will to use them as we choose. When we decide to touch the lives of others with our talents, we are accepting the joyous responsibility of doing His work. We are opening our hearts to the eternal rewards of living out our faith’s call.

St. Dunstan Parish invites you to share your time and talent with our parish community and with communities beyond it. Please join us in learning more about St. Dunstan Stewardship during our Mission weekend, October 14-15, following each mass in the Parish Center.
